Safe Mooring for LNG receiving Terminal Thailand

Mampaey Offshore Industries has supplied and commissioned the full iMoor interface for the The Port of Map Ta Phut in Thailand (220 km southeast of Bangkok). The project is being developed by PTT LNG Company Ltd (PTTLNG).

The Map Ta Phut Industrial Port is a high-capacity industrial port, fully equipped with a wide range of services and facilities and is located at a strategic location suitable for all types of industries. The Map Ta Phut Industrial Port is designed to accommodate a large number of ships including heavy vessels carrying industrial factory equipment, bulk and liquid cargoes.

The demand for liquid natural gas and, in turn, for new LNG ports is also rising rapidly.

The facility constructed plants for the several industries at Map Ta Phut industrial that require natural gas feedstock.

 

For the safe mooring of the LNG carriers Mampaey Offshore Industries has supplied 16 Quick Release Mooring Hook units in total consisting of eight doubles and eight triples for berth 2 and 3. Ten of the units have a safe working load of 150 ton and 6 units have a safe working load of 50 ton. The units are located at Berth II and Berth III. All units are integrated with Electrical Remote Control system, Mooring Load Monitoring. The new jetties are also provided with Berthing Approach Systems for the safe berthing process of the vessels.
