16 units for Thai Oil Jetty

From 2017 until 2019 Thai Oil Plc (TOP) worked to improve facilities and enhancing production efficiency at its Sri Racha refinery.  Capital expenditure will go to increasing storage capacity of oil trucks by 50% to roughly 15 million litres a day, building new crude oil tanks and improving jetty 7 and jetty 8.

16 units

The units we supplied will be placed on jetty 7 and 8 of the Thai Oil Jetty in Chonburi, Thailand. For this order Mampaey supplied 16 Quick Release Mooring Units: 12 triple hook Quick Release Mooring Units with a Safe Work Load (SWL) of 75 ton per hook and 4 double hook Quick Release Mooring Units with an SWL of 75 ton per hook. The units are outfitted with the Electric Remote Control System and Mooring Load Monitoring System. As per customer request the units were coated with a special heavy coating.

The Electric Remote Control System is used to release the mooring hooks remotely in case of an emergency. It is possible to release the hooks individually or simultaneously, depending on the situation. In case of the electric remote control, the release mechanism is operated by an electric solenoid.
