Environmental Monitoring System for the Thessaloniki Terminal

Hellenic Petroleum S.A. is one of the largest oil companies in the Balkans. It operates three refineries in Greece, in Thessaloniki, Elefsina and Aspropyrgos, which account for 57% of the refining capacity of the country.

Environmental Monitoring System

Mampaey Offshore Industries supplied one Environmental Monitoring System to the Thessaloniki Terminal, outfitted with a weather station, visibility sensor, current sensor and, wave and tide sensor. The Environmental Monitoring Systems provides real-time meteorological data to aid pilots and marine personnel to predict ship behavior which creates safer berthing operations.

Berthing Approach System

In 2017 Mampaey already supplied the Berthing Approach System, to aid the pilots and marine personnel to make the best decisions for a safer berthing process. The client requested a simpler version compared to the standard Berthing Approach System; only the traffic lights instead of the Large LED Display.
