Mooring at KS Portovaya

The KS Portovaya LNG Terminal is located in the Oblast Leningrad in Russia. Mampaey is not new to supplying to Russian projects. Two years ago Mampaey supplied units for Yamal LNG and last year Mampaey supplied units for the Cryogas Vysotsk  Terminal.

Mooring equipment

For this LNG terminal we have supplied twenty-two Quick Release Mooring Units: two quadruple hook Quick Release Mooring Units and four triple hook Quick Release Mooring Units, both with a Safe Working Load of 150 ton per hook and sixteen single hook Quick Release Mooring Units with different Safe Working Loads respectively. All of these units are outfitted with the Electric Remote Control System and Mooring Load Monitoring System.

iMoor integration

For a full iMoor integration to contribute to the safety of the terminal and the entire berthing and mooring process, Mampaey also supplied several other products, such as the Berthing Approach System and Environmental Monitoring System. The order also comes with a Carry Onboard Computer to provide to the pilot or other/crew operations with all information of the Mooring Load Monitoring System.

Extreme temperatures

Mooring Russia comes with challenges; all units must be resistant to extremely low temperatures. In this case down to -40 degrees Celsius. Our units are resistant to such extreme temperatures due to the special certified material used. Also, the units come with the Russian CUTR certification.

FSRU Portovyy

Next year the FSU Portovyy will be moored at Portovaya. Mampaey also supplied the mooring equipment on board of this vessel: eight Quick Release Mooring Units. You can read more about this project here.
